Regime forces continue to advance into Maarrat Al-Nu’man countryside backed by intensive aerial and ground bombardment .. 26 casualties were documented in less than 12 hours

Fierce clashes have been still continuing in several areas south-east of Idlib city between factions and jihadi groups against the regime forces and their loyalists as a part of the regime’s continued attacks on the area. The clashes are also accompanied by intensive aerial and ground bombardment.

SOHR learned that the regime forces advanced in the area once again, raising the number of areas they imposed control over since December 19, to 25 areas (Om Jalal, Om al-Twyna, al-Khariba, al-Rabia, al-Shaarah, Barnan, Sahal, al-Farja, Abu Habba, al-Raffa, al-Serj, Harran, al-Sayyadi, Tal al-Damm, Qatrah, Tal Al-Sheikh, Al-Buraysah, Al-Ali Farm, Al-Burj, Al-Haraki, Al-Munzar, Tahtay, Al-Halba and Karastana).

Meanwhile, ten regime soldiers and 16 fighters of the factions and jihadis have been killed since after midnight, raising the number of casualties in the ranks of both parties since the battles started on Thursday to 174 they are: 71 of the regime forces and their loyal militiamen, and 107 fighters including 20 of the factions and the rest of them are of the jihadis.
