Armed attack targets regime checkpoints and positions in Al-Sanamayn city, and “military police” member assassinated in Quneitra countryside

SOHR documented the death of a member of regime “military police” after being shot by unknown assailants in Khan Arnaba town in Quneitra countryside.

The Syrian Observatory also reported an armed attack carried out by unknown assailants on Sunday evening at Qaita checkpoint and the security zone in Al-Sanamayn city north of Daraa, with no casualties reported to date.

The number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by IEDs, mines, car-bombs and shooting, during the period from last June to date, increased to more than 219 attacks, while the number of persons killed following these attempts during the same period was 156, including 24 civilians, including three women and two children, in addition to 82 members of regime forces and allied militias and collaborators with the security forces were killed, and 27 members of opposition factions who made “Settlements and reconciliations,” and joined the regime security services, including former leaders, 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces were killed, in addition to six members of the so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia
