Regime forces and jihadist groups exchange shelling in rural Maarat al-Numan while regime and Russian warplanes halt their operations in the area

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored continued absence of regime and Russian aircraft from Idlib airspace that kill and displace people, as the weather in the area continues to deteriorate.

Moreover, mutual ground shelling on the frontlines in rural Maarat al-Numan is taking place between regime forces and armed men loyal to them on one hand, opposition factions and Jihadist groups on the other, where the targets are concentrated on the frontlines of Farwan, Al-Barisa, Halban and other frontlines in the area.

Calm on the frontlines, was monitored yesterday evening by the Syrian Observatory, interspersed with bombardments from time to time, meanwhile, jihadist groups bombed positions of regime forces in Al Maghara, Tel Musitif, Halban, Al-Barsa and Farwan in eastern countryside of maa\rat al-Numan, while regime forces shelled the vicinity of Maarat al-Numan, Maar shorin, Deir Al-Sharqi, Al-Ghadfa and Talmans in the same countryside.

Sporadic clashes took place between regime forces and allied militants on one hand, and opposition fighting factions on the other on Abu jreif’s frontline in eastern countryside of Idlib.
