Dozens of protesters chant anti-Syrian opposition slogans in Istanbul demonstration

Several demonstrations took place in Turkey, on Saturday, December 28, in Ankara, Adana and Gaziantep, one of them held in front of the Russian consulate in the Turkish city Istanbul, and other areas where all the demonstrations were authorized by the Turkish government.

The Syrian Observatory sources said that an altercation and quarrels have occurred between Syrian demonstrators and a representative of the Syrian opposition coalition, “Y.F.” and the poet “A.”, in Istanbul, after “F.” provoked the demonstrators in meetings with media agencies, with his statement that serves only the Syrian coalition and the Turkish government.

With the demonstrators chants “Syria free… Russia out”, this prompted dozens of demonstrators to raise their voices by chanting against the “Syrian Coalition” during the demonstration, then “F.” had directed insulting and abusive language towards demonstrators.

The incident ended with the expulsion of the coalition member and those he was with. Several demonstrations took place in Turkey and European countries on Saturday in solidarity with the people of Idlib and demanding cessation of bombardment on the province’s rural areas.
