Turkish Forces shell deployment positions of the “Kurdish forces” in Aleppo countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights observed today an artillery shelling from the Turkish bases in the northern countryside of Aleppo, targeted positions of the “Kurdish forces” in Mar’anaz village and around Menagh airbase in the same countryside, but no information about casualties so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 29th of December 2019 violent clashes between the Kurdish forces against the Turkish-backed factions, in “Twis” area southeast of Marea town, in conjunction with the fall of shells on Marea town and on the frontlines; launched by the “Kurdish forces” who are deployed north of Aleppo, but no information of casualties.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 26th of December that it monitored violent clashes, between the Turkish-backed factions against the “Kurdish forces” in areas of “al-Jezz” and “Mar’anaz” in the northern countryside of Aleppo, after countering an infiltration attempt carried out by the Kurdish forces on points of the Turkey-loyal factions west of Azaz city.

Also, the Turkish bases shelled Mar’anaz village and Menagh airport in Sharra area of Afrin using heavy artillery, and according to preliminary information, the damage was only material, while several shells fell in Tal Rifaat town causing material damage and partial destruction of residential houses, but no information about casualties.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, also monitored today violent clashes between the Kurdish forces against factions of the Turkish-backed “National Army”, on the western areas of Azaz city northeast of Aleppo, conjunction with artillery shelling carried out by the Kurdish forces on the perimeter of the National Hospital in Azaz city, and the Turkish artillery responded with missile shelling targeted Kurdish forces’ positions in the western area of Azaz city.
