Mines of war continue to claim lives of Syrians: mine explosion in rural Aleppo kills two

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented today the death of two citizens in a landmine explosion, near al-Jabboul Lake in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
The Syrian Observatory has documented since January 2019 to date some 244 fatalities, including 65 women and 68 children. Of the total number, the Syrian Observatory documented the deaths of 44 people, including 30 women and 5 children, in their search and collect for “Syrian wild truffles”, which put their lives at risk, “Syrian wild truffles” grow in areas that are exposed to heavy rains and are sold at high prices.
