IED explosion targets demonstrators in Al-Busayrah leaving many dead and injured

Activists told the Syrian Observatory that an IED exploded at the bridge in the SDF-controlled city of Al-Busayrah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The explosion targeted a demonstration including relatives of an arms dealer known by his initials as “G.A.”, demanded SDF release him after being arrested on the 30th of December 2019.

Two demonstrators were killed and seven others were injured of whom two persons are in critical conditions.

After the explosion, all shops in the city’s market were closed in a strike against what happened.

 SOHR sources learned on December 30, that Syria Democratic Forces with support by the International Coalition aircraft, arrested an arms dealer and another person in Al-Busayrah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

SDF raided the dealer’s house and took the two persons to unknown destination.
