Anonymous gunmen attack SDF military vehicle in rural Deir Ezzor
Two unknown gunmen on a motorcycle targeted a military vehicle carrying SDF members, with machineguns in Hawaij village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. No casualties were reported about.
It is noteworthy that the state of insecurity has been still prevailing in SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor countryside.
On January 14, activists told the Syrian Observatory that an IED exploded at the bridge in the SDF-controlled city of Al-Busayrah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The explosion targeted a demonstration including relatives of an arms dealer known by his initials as “G.A.”, demanded SDF release him after being arrested on the 30th of December 2019.
Two demonstrators were killed and seven others were injured of whom two persons are in critical conditions.
