Turkey’s plans of demographic change: Turkish-backed factions kidnap civilians in Afrin

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Turkish-backed factions of Operation “Olive Branch” continue their violations of kidnapping, blackmailing, thefts, looting and robberies, against the remaining civilians in Afrin, north-western of Aleppo, for the purpose of pushing them to leave.

Reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that gunmen of the factions kidnapped a child in Afrin city center, and a civilian in Jendires in Afrin countryside.

On January 14, activists told SOHR that gunmen abducted a woman from her home in Ma’arkasa village in Sharan district of Afrin, after her house was raided by an armed group, without knowing the abductors’ identity or the reasons for the kidnapping.
