“Suleiman Shah” militiamen kidnap civilians and blackmail their relatives in rural Afrin

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that gunmen affiliated to the Turkish-backed faction “Suleiman Shah”, kidnapped five civilians from “Kakhrah” village of “Maabatli” township in Afrin countryside.

According to SOHR sources, the gunmen asked the relatives of two of kidnapped people for a ransom of 15,000 USD in return for releasing them. They threatened to kill the two civilians in the case of the ransom would not be delivered soon.

SOHR sources reported yesterday that the Turkish-backed factions of Operation “Olive Branch” continue their violations of kidnapping, blackmailing, thefts, looting and robberies, against the remaining civilians in Afrin, north-western of Aleppo, for the purpose of pushing them to leave.

Reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that gunmen of the factions kidnapped a child in Afrin city center, and a civilian in Jendires in Afrin countryside.
