ISIS resurgence: clashes take place between SDF and ISIS cells in Al Busayrah city

SOHR sources reported that violent clashes erupted in Al-Busayrah city in eastern rural Deir ez-Zour on Sunday evening, between Syrian Democratic Forces members and unidentified gunmen believed to belong to ‘Islamic State’ cells. No information was received so far about casualties, ambulances siren were heard in the area.

On November 16, the Syrian Observatory reported that a medium-intensity explosion in Abu Hardoub village in eastern rural Deir ez-Zour, caused by an improvised explosive device exploded in a car carrying SDF members, several members were injured to various degrees.

On January 15, sources informed the Syrian Observatory that two unidentified men, on a motorcycle, targeted a military vehicle of SDF with machine guns in al-Hawaij village in eastern rural Deir ez-Zour. No casualties were reported.
