Lawlessness continues in Turkey-backed factions’ areas: a citizen injured while confronting thieves in Afrin

A citizen was seriously injured after being beaten, where he confronted a group of thieves tried to rob a currency exchange office in the Turkish-backed controlled-city of Afrin, he was taken to the hospital.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented on the 16th of January 2020 the killing of two commanders in “al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah” of the 3rd Corps of the Turkish-backed “National Army”. They were shot dead this morning by unknown gunmen, on the road to Qandarat village near Jarabulus town in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo.

On January 2, SOHR activists documented the killing of four members of the Turkish-backed division of “al-Mu’tasim”, in an assassination by unknown gunmen targeted them in Afrin city in the north-western countryside of Aleppo.

The attackers targeted one of the division’s checkpoints at the entrance of Afrin city, from the side of Al-Basutah village of Shirawa Township. The attack also resulted in the injury of another member.
