Seven displaced people, mostly children, killed or injured by Turkish border guards fire.

Turkish border guards continue targeting Syrians civilians fleeing the horrors of war and seeking a safe haven that may protect them from Syrian regime and Russian jets. However, the fire of Turkish “Jandarma” at the border prevents them from crossing into Turkish territory.

The Syrian Observatory documented the death of a child under the age of eighteen and the injury of seven other civilians: four children, a woman and a man, by Turkish border guards fire, as they tried to cross from Harem area at the border with Iskenderun, north of Idlib, into the Turkish territory. It is worth mentioning that the people who were targeted are displaced from Al-Sahriya village, in western rural Hama.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documentation, the number of Syrian civilians killed by Turkish border guards “Jandarma” forces since the start of the Syrian revolution rose to 443 civilians, including 78 children under the age of eighteen and 44 women over the age of eighteen.
