Nearly 40 civilians killed or injured in Russian airstrikes on Idlib and Aleppo

SOHR activists documented the killing of 13 civilians including eight children in today’s airstrikes by Russian jets on both Aleppo and Idlib countryside. The fatalities were distributed as follows:

  • A man, his wife and their six children, and another man all killed in Kafr Taal village, west of Aleppo
  • Two men were killed in the bombardment on the vicinity of Al-Bara, south of Idlib
  • A child girl displaced from Al-Hbit was killed in Arhab in the western countryside of Aleppo
  • And a child was killed in Tqad in the same countryside.

Observatory activists also documented the killing of five HTS fighters after being targeted by Russian jets in Maardebseh area in the eastern countryside of Idlib.

Separately, regime helicopters resumed bombardment on the “de-escalation” zone after being suspended for three days. They dropped several barrel-bombs on Al-Mansurah, Jam’eyyat Al-Sahafiyeen, Khan Al-Asal, Al-Rashideen area, west and north-west of Aleppo city. They also targeted Khan Tuman town in the southern countryside of Aleppo.
