The highest aerial bombing toll since July 2019: nearly 370 airstrikes pound the “de-escalation” zone

SOHR activists report that regime jets continue hysterical bombardment on both Idlib and Aleppo countryside, along with ongoing operations by Russian jets and regime helicopters on the area.

Regime jets have executed 239 raids since morning targeting Al-Rashideen, Kafr Naha, Khan Al-Asal, Al-Mansurah and the vicinity of Atarib in the western countryside of Aleppo, Khalseh, Berneh, Khan Tuman and Al-Humayrah in the southern countryside of Aleppo, and Maarrat Al-Nu’man, Bazabur, Al-Ghadfah, Maarshourin, Deir Sharqi, Maardebseh, Qamhana, Banin, Maasaran, Hass, Serjeh, Babilla, Karsiyan and Al-Hamidiah in Idlib countryside.

Meanwhile, regime helicopters dropped 66 barrel bombs on places in Zayzun in Hama countryside, Khan Tuman, Khalseh, Al-Mansurah and Jabal Shuwayhana in the southern and western countryside of Aleppo, Maarrat Al-Nu’man and its outskirts, Kafruma, Deir Sharqi, Khan Al-Sabil, Maasaran in Idlib countryside.

For their part, Russian jets carried out 62 airstrikes targeting places in Jabal Shuwayhana, Hayyan and Kafr Hamra north-west of Aleppo, Bashnatra, Kafr Da’el, Al-Mansurah, 46th Regiment, Bashqatin, the vicinity of Atarib, Kafr Naha and Al-Rashideen in the west of Aleppo, Khan Tuman, Al-Humayrah and Berneh in the southern countryside of Aleppo, Khan Al-Sabil, Maarshourin, Deir Sonbol, Serjeh and Sheikh Idrees in Idlib countryside.

The bombardment on Al-Humayrah killed a displaced child and injured others. A man was killed due to regime rocket fire after midnight on Telmanas town in southern rural Idlib. Two other civilians were killed this morning in Russian aerial bombardment on a makeshift camp in the vicinity of Atarib.

With the fall of more casualties, it rose to at least 1,782, the number of people who were killed since the last agreement of “Putin – Erdogan” on the 31st of August 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 447 civilians including 130 children and 82 citizen women, and they are 185 including 67 children and 31 women were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 21 including three women and seven children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 117 including 21 children 19 women were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 92 people including 23 women and 28 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 31 citizens including seven children and six women were killed in shelling by the factions on regime forces’-controlled areas in Aleppo and its countryside and the countryside of Hama, while at least 648 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 487 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 687 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

It rose to at least 5,883, the number of people who were killed since the 30th of April 2019, the date of start of the most violent escalation in terms of aerial and ground bombardment, shelling, and targeting since Putin – Erdogan agreement, until today, and they are: 1,492 civilians including 390 children and 268 citizen women, and they are 411 including 111 children and 74 women, and nine of the civil defense and six of the ambulance team were killed in Russian aerial bombardment on the countryside of Idlib and Hama, and 109 including 22 women and 22 children were killed in the fall of barrel bombs, and 655 including 176 children, 109 women, and six members of the rescue teams were killed in targeting by regime’s warplanes, also 207 people including 43 women and 48 children were killed in a ground shelling carried out by the regime forces, and 110 citizens including 33 children and 20 women were killed in shelling by the factions on al-Suqaylabiyah, Qamhana, Al-Rasif, Al-Aziziyah, Karnaz, Jurin, Al-Nairab Camp, neighborhoods in Aleppo city and its southern countryside, while at least 2,313 fighters were killed in the Russian airstrikes and the regime’s aerial and ground shelling including 1,575 of the Jihadis, in addition to killing of 2,078 members of the regime forces in targeting and shelling by jihadi groups and factions.

During the period between the 15th of February 2019; the date of the meeting of “Rouhani – Erdogan – Putin” until today; the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 6,409 people in the Russian – Turkish truce areas, they are 1,775 civilians including 471 children under the age of eighteen and 332 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the Russian aerial bombardment and the rocket shelling by the regime forces and the factions, and among the death toll of civilians there are 137 people including 36 children under the age of eighteen and 24 citizen women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2,399 fighters were killed in different conditions within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1,607 fighters of the “Jihadis” and 2,235 of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented since the start of the Russian – Turkish truce the death of 6,643 people in areas of Erdogan – Putin agreement, they are: 1,858 civilians including 498 children and 346 women, were killed in shelling by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them, targeting, and bombardment by warplanes, and among them there are 138 people including 36 children and 25 women, were killed in the fall of shells launched by the factions, and 2,466 fighters were killed in deferent circumstances within the demilitarized area since Putin – Erdogan agreement, including 1,711 of the “Jihadi” fighters, and 2,319 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
