100 Coalition trucks carrying logistical supplies enter Syria via “Simalka” crossing

A new convoy of 100 trucks affiliated to the “International Coalition” entered Syria today via Simalka crossing. The trucks were carrying logistical equipment and building materials and headed towards Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor provinces.

On January 16, nearly 75 International Coalition trucks entered this evening through Simalka crossing with the Kurdistan Area of Iraq and headed towards the oil wells in al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor.

The trucks carry military armored vehicles, ammunition, and logistical assistance to the Syria Democratic Forces to reinforce their forces there.

On the 12th of January 2019, the Syrian Observatory activists reported seeing an International Coalition’s logistical aid convoy of more than 50 trucks including four-wheel-drive vehicles and tankers, crossing into Syria via Simalka crossing on the border with the Kurdistan area of Iraq. It headed to bases of the International Coalition in Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas in al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor provinces.

On the 8th of January 2019, Syrian Observatory activists monitored the entry of a convoy of logistical and military assistance affiliated to the International Coalition via Simalka border crossing with Iraq. The convoy consisted of more than 60 trucks carrying armored vehicles, 4×4 vehicles, tanks, and electricity generators. The convoy headed towards al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor where oil wells are located, in support for the Syria Democratic Forces present there.
