One kilometer away from capturing the city, regime forces advance further into Maarrat Al-Nu’man amid fierce battles against opposition factions

SOHR sources have reported that fierce battles are underway between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime forces backed by Russian aircraft on the other, on the eastern frontlines of Maarrat Al-Nu’man city in Idlib countryside.

The regime forces are trying to advance into Maarrat Al-Nu’man city from the eastern side. They were able to capture strategic areas during the past hours (Al-Ghadfah, Talmannas, Maarshamsheh, Deir Sharqi, Deir Gharbi, Maarshmarin, Maaratah, in addition to other positions). Now they are at only one kilometer away from the city of Maarrat Al-Nu’man.
