Three months after closure, “Om Jloud” crossing reopens for commercial use between areas of “SDF” and the Turkish-backed factions

“Om Jloud” crossing northwest of Manbij was opened this morning.
It links the Syria Democratic Forces’ controlled areas with the Turkish-backed factions’ areas.
Opening the crossing came three months after it was closed since Operation Peace Spring.
“Om Jloud” crossing is considered one of the most important commercial crossings between Manbij and Jarabulus in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.
On the 19th of November 2019, “Aon al-Dadat” crossing was opened between Manbij and Jarabulus towns in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
It was intended for civilians to cross in both directions for more than one month after it was closed.
“Aon al-Dadat” crossing was closed last September to passenger traffic but remained open to commercial traffic.
