Violent clashes and ferocious resistance in Maarrat al-Nu’man city… the recent clashes kill 20 people

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the evening violent clashes in Maarrat al-Nu’man city, after it was stormed from 3 sides: the south, west and the east.
The battles killed 21 of the regime forces and loyalists.
Syrian Observatory activists have documented more casualties in both warring forces since the ground offensive began on Friday evening. 107 jihadis among 137 opposition fighters were killed so far, in addition to the killing of 147 regime soldiers and loyalists.
Since Friday evening, the regime forces have imposed their control over 25 area: Telmans, Ma’ar Shmasha, Deir Sharqi, Deir Al-Gharbi, Ma’ar Shmarin, Ma’rata, Al-Ghadfa, Ma’ar Shourin Al-Za’alana, Al-Dana, Tal Sheikh, Sawami’e, Khirbet Mezyan, Masaran, Bsida, Taqana, Babolin, Kafr Bassin, Marhatat, Hamidia, Dar Al-Salaam, Salhia, Kafruma, Wadi Al-Daif, and Hantutin).
