Six fighters killed among pro-Iranian foreign militias in the international highway M5’s battles

The Syrian Observatory documented the killing of six pro-Iranian fighters of non-Syrian citizens as a result of the fighting with opposition factions and jihadist groups in the vicinity of Khan Touman and other frontlines of southern rural Aleppo, after the pro-Iranian militias being joined the international Damascus – Aleppo highway’s battle known as M5, four days ago.

Violent clashes continued on frontlines within the area between Ma’rat al-Numan and Saraqeb, between regime forces and loyalists on one side, and opposition factions and jihadist groups on the other, as part of the ongoing attacks by regime forces, which are trying to control Mardikh, Jobas and reach the town of Saraqeb.

The clashes were accompanied with intensive airstrikes by the regime’s helicopters and jets as well as Russian jets, along with intensive ground bombardment, particularly on Saraqeb.
