Since December, humanitarian disaster worsens and the military operation in Aleppo and Idlib displaces some 670 thousand people

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today the continuation of the humanitarian disaster and mass displacement of the people of cities, towns, and villages of Idlib countryside, due to the military operations of the regime forces and the Russians.
Tens of villages and towns are still witnessing continuous displacement such as Saraqib and its countryside and Ariha city and towns and villages around it, the western countryside of Maarrat al-Nu’man, and who remained in Jabal al-Zawiyah area, in addition to Binnish area, Taftanaz, and Sarmin, meaning that the displacement has expanded to include new areas relatively far from the Damascus-Aleppo International Highway.

The number of people who have been forced to flee since the beginning of the ground offensive on the 24th of this month rose to 140,000 civilians, where thousands of air and ground strikes hit the area.

Displaced people headed to the north-western countryside of Idlib near the Syrian border with Iskenderun brigade, while some others headed to Turkish forces and their proxies factions-held areas in rural Aleppo, amid International Community’s disregard towards crimes by the Syrian regime and Russians against civilians in camps and those who are searching for a new safe haven, with high cost of living and greed of war’s merchants, while Turkey’s solidarity merely on media at a time where its border guards continued to target and kill Syrians those who try to cross into Turkish territory.

As displacement’s waves continue to rise, the number of displaced people since the middle of this month rose to 230,000 civilians, and the number of displaced people, since the beginning of December to date, rose to nearly 670,000 civilians, who have been forced to flee from the southern, eastern and southeastern Idlib countryside as well as the western Aleppo countryside.
