157 regime soldiers and opposition rebels and jihadis killed in today’s intensive bombardment and fierce battles in Idlib and Aleppo

SOHR sources reported that the body of a civilian was recovered from under the rubble in Sarmin bringing the number of civilians who were killed today in bombardment by Russian and regime aircraft on Aleppo and Idlib to ten: eight civilians including seven people of a single family including a female, were killed in aerial bombardment on Sarmin town in the eastern countryside of Idlib, a female was killed in Russian airstrikes on Atarib city, and a child was killed in the outskirts of Binnish, east of Idlib.

 

The death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injuries some of whom are in serious conditions along with information about casualties after the Russian aerial bombardment on Uram Al-Juz towns, west of Idlib.

 

Meanwhile fierce clashes are still continuing between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime soldiers and loyalists on the other, on frontlines in the south and west of Aleppo city and both eastern and south-eastern countryside of Idlib. The clashes are accompanied by exchange of intensive shelling between both parties leaving 12 regime soldiers and 40 opposition fighters dead.

 

Accordingly, the number of regime soldiers and loyalists who have been killed since early hours of Sunday morning rose to 75. also 48 jihadis among 82 opposition fighters were killed in the same period.

 

As SOHR activists documented more human losses, the number of fatalities in the ranks of both warring forces who have been killed in bombardment and fierce clashes since Friday, the 24th of January 2020, rose to 241 jihadis among 302 opposition fighters and 280 regime soldiers and loyalists of whom there are six foreign militiamen loyal to Iran.
