Regime forces capture seven new villages in rural Saraqeb amid fierce ongoing battles west of Aleppo
Reliable sources have informed SOHR that the regime forces are advancing rabidly into the eastern countryside of Saraqeb town in the light of opposition factions and jihadis’ pullout from several villages there.
Regime forces took control of the Abandoned Battalion, Al-Balisah, Al-Wasitah, Kuwayris, Tal Al-Agher, Al-Mushayrafah, Tawil Al-Halib, Al-Raqim and Jadidat Al-Khatrah.
On the other hand, regime and Russian jets continue intensive bombardment targeting areas in the triangles of Maarrat Al-Nu’man – Ariha – Saraqeb and Ariha – Idlib city – Saraqeb, in order to force the remaining civilians to leave.
Furthermore, fierce battles are underway on frontlines of Al-Sahafiyeen and Al-Rashideen 4th sector, between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime soldiers and loyalists on the other. The regime forces are trying to advance into the area amid information about fatalities in the ranks of both warring forces.
Accordingly, the number of areas captured by the regime forces since Friday evening, January 24 rose to 68 villages and towns: Telmans, Ma’ar Shmasha, Deir Sharqi, Deir Al-Gharbi, Ma’ar Shmarin, Ma’rata, Al-Ghadfa, Ma’ar Shourin Al-Za’alana, Al-Dana, Tal Sheikh, Sawami’e, Khirbet Mezyan, Masaran, Bsida, Taqana, Babolin, Kafr Bassin, Marhatat, Hamidia, Dar Al-Salaam, Salhia, Kafruma, Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, Wadi Al-Daif, Hantutin, Al-Jarrada, Al-Ruwayha and Al-Qahiryah, Khan al-Sobol town, Mardebseh, Al-Hartamiyah, Qamhana, Abu Juraif, Tal Khatrah, Tal Musaytif, Al-Kana’es, Karsyan, Hish, Kafr Mazdah, Jabbalah, Muqah, Al-Amudiyah, Armanya, Kafr Batikh, Dadikh, Luf, Anqarati, Jubas, Sannan, Zakkar, Tarnabeh and Al-Nayrab, Mardikh, Tal Mardikh, Kaddur, Al-Ruwayha, the Abandoned Battalion, Al-Balisah, Al-Wasitah, Kuwayris, Tal Al-Agher, Al-Mushayrafah, Tawil Al-Halib, Al-Raqim and Jadidat Al-Khatrah).
