Regime forces carry out rocket attack on Taftanaz military airport, leaving casualties among Turkish forces

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a rocket attack carried out by regime forces on areas at Taftanaz military airport and its surrounding, which is hosting Turkish forces and opposition factions.

The attack caused casualties, including Turks. Turkish ambulances were seen carrying injured people into Turkish territory, meanwhile relative calm returned to the tense areas between Turkish and regime forces in the area between al-Nayrab and Saraqeb, east of Idlib, after Turkish and factions shelling stopped on the area.

Activists told the Syrian Observatory that regime forces made new advances in western and southwestern rural Aleppo, following clashes with fighters there, regime forces were able to capture Kafr Aleppo, Al-Qanatar and Khirbet Jazraya as they tried to advance towards Ma’arat al-Na’asan in north-eastern rural Idlib at the administrative border with Aleppo province.

In the last few hours and days, regime forces captured 55 areas in southern and western rural Aleppo, (Khan Touman, the warehouses of Khan Touman, Khalidiya, Tal Hazmer, Khirbet Khars, Tal al-Zaytoun, Al-Rashidin Al Khamissa, Marata, Zamar, Jazraya, Uthmaniyeh Kabirah, Talafih, Tal Tabariz, Maharim, Khawari, Qalajiyah, Khalsa, Zitan, Barneh, Al Hwier, Ijaaz, Sheikh Ahmed, Tal Kratin, Al-Dhahiriya farm, Asiriyah, Makhaleh, Rasim Al Ward, Um Atbeh, Jub Al kass, Rasm Al Ais, Rasm Sahrij, Banis, Al-Iss, Tal al-Iss, Al-Kassebeya, Al-Bawabia, Tal Hadiya, Iqarda, Salhia, Al-Barqum, Kamari, Al Zarbeh, Al-Kalariya, Kafr Aleppo, Qanatar and Khirbet Jazaraya) and other locations, points and villages in the area.
