Turkish military reinforcement: 7000 soldiers and 2100 trucks and military vehicles enter Syria in 13 days

SOHR sources reported seeing a new Turkish military column of nearly 70 vehicles crossing into the Syrian territory via Kafr Lusin border crossing, north of Idlib. Most of the vehicles are covered and it is very likely that they are carrying weapons and ammunition.

During the period between February 2 and today, SOHR activists monitored the entry of more than 2100 trucks and military vehicles to the Syrian territory, including tanks, personnel carriers, armored vehicles, mobile bulletproof guard booths and military radars. Meanwhile the number of Turkish soldiers who were deployed during the same period in Idlib and Aleppo exceeded 7000.

SOHR activists reported yesterday that the Turkish forces were stationed in new areas in the “de-escalation” zone bringing the number of Turkish posts to 33: Salwah, Qalaat Samaan, Sheikh Oqail, Tallat Al-Eis, Tallat Al-Tuqan, Sarman, Jabal Anadan, Al-Zaytunah, Murek, the southern Al-Rashideen, Shir Mghar, Ishtabrak as well as other posts recently set up in Anadan, Al-Rashideen, Maar Hattat, Saraqeb, Al-Tarnabah, Al-Nayrab, Al-Mughir, Qumaynas, Sarmin, Taftanaz, Maarrat Al-Na’san, Maarrat Masrin, Al-Jinah, Kafr Karmin, Al-Tawwamah, the 111th Regiment, Al-Mastumah camp, Tramnin, Al-Atarib and Darat Izza.
