Opposition factions target regime positions south of Idlib, and 230 airstrikes pound the “de-escalation” zone

SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian affected by the injury he had in Russian raid targeted Maarrat Al-Na’saan east of Idlib city. Another civilian was also killed this morning after regime artillery shelling previous night on Atarib town in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Observatory sources monitored sporadic ground shelling on the villages and towns that are located to the east of Idlib city.

Separately, rebel factions shelled regime positions in Madaya area in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile the Turkish forces entrenched their presence in the area west of Al-Nayrab following the factions’ pullout from the town, amid subsiding clashes on frontlines of east Idlib.

SOHR sources reported earlier this day that Turkish forces and their proxies shelled regime positions in Al-nayrab town, along with intensive Turkish shelling on Saraqeb city, Afes and Maarrat Alya.

On the other hand, regime and Russian airstrikes continue bringing the number of today’s airstrikes by Russian jets on areas in Idlib countryside and contested areas, east of Idlib city, to 146. Also the number of regime airstrikes on Idlib and Aleppo, rose to 89.

Observatory activists documented many fatalities among the warring forces in today’s battles and bombardment. Two Turkish forces were killed and three others were injured in the outskirts of Al-Nayrab town, east of Idlib city. 14 rebels and 11 regime soldiers and loyalists were also killed in the fierce clashes in Al-Nayrab city.
