Regime forces capture three new villages south of Idlib, and 160 airstrikes pound “Putin – Erdogan” area

Regime forces captured Rakaya village in the south of Idlib, following fierce clashes with opposition factions there. Meanwhile, fierce clashes are still continuing nearby Kafr Sajna and Al-Fuqair village, south of Idlib, as regime forces attempt to advance into these villages.

On the other hand, SOHR sources say that clashes and exchange of ground shelling are underway between the factions and regime forces on frontlines in the east of Idlib city, near M4 highway.

Separately, Russian jets carried out more raids targeting Kafr Nubl town, Kafr Sajna and Ihsim, bringing the number of today’s airstrikes to 132.

Also regime jets executed 28 raids on countryside of Idlib, Aleppo and Latakia.

Observatory activists documented the killing of 11 fighters of the factions, including seven jihadists, in clashes and shelling in Sheikh Damis and Hantutin areas. Eight regime soldiers were also killed during the same clashes.

Syrian Observatory sources reported earlier that regime forces and loyalists captured the villages of Hantutin and Sheikh Damis in the southern countryside of Idlib, after fierce clashes with the factions.
