Nearly 50 regime soldiers, rebels and jihadists killed in today’s intensive bombardment and fierce clashes in rural Idlib

SOHR sources say that Turkish forces and their loyal factions are still continuing their fierce attack on Al-Nayrab town in the eastern countryside of Idlib, amid ongoing intensive Turkish shelling. The Turkish forces and factions advanced into the town recovering large swathes of it.

While in the southern countryside of Idlib, fierce clashes are underway on frontlines of Al-Rwayha and Hantutin, between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other. The clashes coincide with aerial and ground intensive firepower by regime and Russians.

SOHR activists documented more fatalities among the ranks of the warring forces in today’s clashes and bombardment on both eastern and southern countryside of Idlib. 21 regime members and loyalists were killed in both countryside. While 27 rebels and jihadis were also killed, including 18 fighters were killed in Russian aerial bombardment.

SOHR received confirmed information about Russian casualties in attacks on their positions in Hantutin, south of Idlib.

Observatory activists documented gross human losses in the ranks of both warring forces who have been killed in aerial and ground bombardment and fierce clashes since the 24th of January 2020. 547 jihadis among 725 opposition fighters were killed so far. While 633 fatalities were documented among regime soldiers and loyalists of whom there are 18 foreign militiamen loyal to Iran.
