Rebels and jihadist factions bring in massive military reinforcement to Saraqib frontlines as intensive airstrikes and violent battles erupt

Activists have told the Syrian Observatory that violent clashes continued on several frontlines in eastern and southern idlib countryside, Sahl Al-Ghab and Jabal Shahshabo, between rebels and jihadist groups on the one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other.

The clashes have concentrated east of Idlib on western outskirts of Saraqib in an attempt by opposition factions to retake the city backed by intensive Turkish artillery fire.

Meanwhile, regime forces have tried to advance in Sahl Al-Ghab and Jabal Shahshabo. Clashes accompanied by intensive aerial bombardment carried out by regime and Russian jets.

Reliable source have informed SOHR that regime forces managed to regain control of Al-Manara village in Sahl Al-Ghab.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored massive military reinforcement of opposition factions and jihadists reached the frontlines of Saraqib, east of Idlib.

SOHR reported earlier that regime forces, backed by Russian airpower, managed to completely recapture the city of Saraqib, on Damascus-Aleppo international highway. While regime forces have continued combing the city amid attempts by rebels to regain the initiative.

The advance of regime forces in Saraqib follows the advance of rebels inside the city of Kafr Nabl after capturing several neighborhoods in addition to Harsh Kafr Nabl.

Meanwhile, several Turkish soldiers have been injured in rocket attack carried out by regime forces on their post in Qominas in Idlib countryside.
