Violent explosions hit Idlib, leaving 25 people dead or injured and battles renew north of Saraqib

Activists have told the Syrian Observatory that violent explosions hit the city of Idlib on Tuesday morning. . No confirmed information is yet available as to whether the explosions were caused by Russian airstrikes or long-range missiles.

The explosions have left casualties among civilians, where seven people, including three children have been killed and 20 others injured.

On the other hand, violent clashes have renewed on Afis frontline northwest of Saraqeb in eastern Idlib countryside, between rebels and jihadist groups on the one hand, and regime forces, which attacking the village backed by loyalists, on the other.

SOHR reported earlier that regime forces, backed by loyalists of Syrian igniand non-Syrian citizens and with Russian airpower, have managed to regain control of Damascus-Aleppo international highway and secure the road.

Regime forces have recaptured the city of Saraqib and the villages of Jubas, Kafr Batikh, Tarnabeh, Dadikh and Shabur, following violent clashes with rebels and jihadist groups backed by Turkish artillery and drones during the past 24 hours. Syrian Observatory sources say that Turkish drones strikes have decreased significantly.
