Russia – Turkey joint patrols: new patrol tours the west Al-Darbasiyah countryside

Syrian Observatory have reported that Russian and Turkish forces ran a new joint patrol in Al-Darbasiyah countryside. The patrol, which was escorted by two helicopters, started from Sherik border area and toured the villages of Dalik, Malak, Zahr Al-Arab, Kasra, Arrad, Qayrawan,Ta’allak, Karkund, Hajughli and Otayshan, then they returned back to Sherik.

Syrian Observatory reported a few days earlier that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani). The patrol started from Gharib village on the border with Turkey and toured the villages of Bouztib, Qarrah, Mough, Jishan, Kharabisan Foqani, Kharabisan Tahtani and Bughaydik, near Syria – Turkey border. After that, the patrol, which was escorted by two Russian helicopters, returned to the starting point.

On February 27, Observatory sources report that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol in Al-Darbasiyah countryside. Four Russian vehicles and four Turkish others started from Sherik crossing on the border with Turkey and toured the villages of Dalik, Malak, Zahr Al-Arab, Kasra, Qayrawan,Ta’allak, Karkund, Hajughli, Otayshan and Qurmaniyah, then they returned to Sherik again. A Russian helicopter flying at low altitude escorted the patrol.
