 Unidentified drones carry out ten airstrikes on pro-Iranian militia positions in al-Bukamal area

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this morning shelling carried out by three unidentified aircraft targeting Al-Imam Ali base and al-Hassian area in al-Bukamal area near the border with Iraq, which is being used by pro-Iranian militias as military headquarters.

SOHR sources have reported that at least ten explosions were heard in the area. No casualties have been reported to date.

On January 10, the Syrian Observatory documented casualties as a result of airstrikes targeting pro-Iranian militias on Syria-Iraq border on Friday morning. At least eight people of non-Syrian citizens were killed in airstrikes, which are still unknown, on warehouses and vehicles belonging to the pro-Iranian Popular Mobilization Forces in al-Bukamal area on Syria-Iraq border.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored shelling carried out unidentified drones targeting ammunition depots and vehicles of pro-Iranian militias in Al-Bukamal area, where several explosions were heard in the area near the Iraqi-Syrian border.

On January 9th, SOHR sources reported that drones monitored the movements of pro-Iranian militias in the area.

Reliable source have informed SOHR that the Russian president told the head of the Syrian regime Bashar al-Assad of America’s intention to close Tehran-Beirut road that runs through Al-Bukamal.
