Regime forces and opposition factions trade fire in Jabal Al-Zawiyah as ceasefire enters its 20th day

Syrian Observatory sources have monitored exchange of fire with heavy machineguns on frontlines of Al-Ftera and Kansafra in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the early hours of Friday morning, between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and opposition factions and jihadi groups on the other.

Meanwhile, cautious calm is prevailing throughout the “de-escalation zone” as the new ceasefire enters its 20th consecutive day.

Observatory sources reported yesterday that that regime forces stationed in the 46th regiment targeted the School of Agriculture, Kafr Ta’al and Kaframma in the western countryside of Aleppo with heavy machine guns.

On the other hand, Syrian Observatory activists monitored exchanging of fire between regime forces and opposition and Islamic factions on the frontlines of Saraqeb and Jabal al-Zawiya. No casualties were reported.
