Regime forces and opposition factions trade fire in southern Idlib as ceasefire enters its 23rd day

SOHR sources have documented the death of a regime soldier after being shot by opposition factions’ snipers on Atarib frontline in the western countryside of Aleppo.

On the other hand, regime forces fired several shells on the early hours of Saturday morning on places in Al-Ftera and Sfuhen towns in Jabal Al-Zawiyah. Meanwhile, exchange of fire with medium weapons took place in Kafr Nubl and Kafr Batikh in the past few hours, between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other.

Otherwise, cautious calm has been prevailing in the “de-escalation zone” since early morning in the ceasefire’s 23rd consecutive day.

Yesterday, SOHR sources documented the death of two regime soldiers and the injury of others in targeting by opposition factions for one of the buildings in which regime forces and loyalists were holding up in Kafr Batikh town.
