Rebels and regime forces trade fire in Jabal Shashabo and rockets hit positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah as ceasefire enters its 29th day

Syrian Observatory activists have reported that exchange of fire took place in the early hours of Friday morning, between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and opposition factions and jihadi groups on the other, on Sfuhen and Fulayfel frontlines in Jabal Shashabo.

On the other hand, regime forces renewed shelling on areas in Al-Ftera and the vicinity of Al-Bara in Jabal Al-Zawiyah after midnight.

Otherwise, tense calm is prevailing in the “de-escalation zone” in the 29th consecutive day of the new ceasefire.

Yesterday, SOHR sources documented new violations to ceasefire in the area, represented by regime rocket attacks on Sfuhen and Kafr Oweid in Jabal Al-Zawiyah. No casualties were reported.
