New assaults and arbitrary arrests: Turkish-backed factions continue clamping down on Kurds of Afrin

Turkish-backed factions are continuing their violations against the Kurdish who have remained in Afrin, as a part of the rebel’s systematic policy to push the Afrin’s out of the canton. In this context, gunmen of Turkish-backed factions of the “National Army” have assaulted a peddler sells cakes in Nowruz roundabout, for asking the rebels to pay for the cakes they have taken.

Meanwhile, Turkish-backed factions arrested a civilian from Ma’rata village while being in a cloths shop in Afrin city. They took the civilian to unknown destination without revealing any reasons.

Similarly, gunmen of “Al-Hamzat” faction arrested a civilian in Afrin city for unknown reasons. The civilian works in a freight bureau for shipping cargoes to Damascus.

On the other hand, other armed group of “Al-Hamzat” seized a civilian house in Kafr Zait village in Afrin countryside. After mediation by some residents, the gunmen agreed to leave the house only when the house’s owner paid 1,000 USD for them.
