Regime forces shell positions in rural Idlib, amid flight of Russian reconnaissance drone over Idlib city

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored a Russian reconnaissance drone flying over Idlib city and eastern countryside since early morning. Meanwhile, regime forces fired several rockets on the areas of Al-Bara and Al-Fterah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

On the other hand, opposition factions shelled places in the regime-held city of Maarrat Al-Nu’man.

These violations come in the 42nd consecutive day of the new ceasefire in the “de-escalation zone”.

Yesterday, SOHR sources monitored violent clashes between regime forces and loyalists on one side, and rebel and jihadi factions on the other, on the frontline of Al-Bara town in Jabal al-Zawiya.

The clashes coincided with exchanging of artillery fire between both sides. Regime forces shelled the vicinity of Al-Bara town, the village of Fulayfel and the frontlines of Hazarin town in rural Idlib, while opposition factions shelled regime positions in rural Idlib. No casualties were reported.
