Jabhat al- Nusra and the Islamic factions advance in the western countryside of Daraa

Daraa Province:

The violent clashes have taken place since hours between Shohadaa al- Yarmouk, which pledged allegiance to IS, against Jabhat al- Nusra Front, the rebel and Islamic factions around the town of Ayn Zokor and around Sahem Dam in the western countryside of Dara, where al- Nusra and the factions could advance towards Nafe’ah area. Other clashes are taking place between the same parties around al- Allan area, accompanied by violent mutual shelling. It is noted that in the mid-December 2014, a tension has prevailed in the western countryside of Daraa the two parties due to mutual accusations of arrests, where brigade of Shohadaa al- Yarmuk has arrested a fighter expected to be from al- Nusra accusing him that he wanted to assassinate leading figures in the brigade.

 

It is worth mentioning that the brigade spread in Jomla, Nafe’ah, Hit and Ellan areas in the west of Sahm al- Jolan and in the areas located near the Syrian border with the occupied Syrian Golan in the west of Daraa province, where the brigade detained UN peacekeepers in the village of Jomla in March, 6. 2013, and said that they will not release them until the regime troops retreat from the area.
