About 40 fighters killed during IS attack and takeover of the village of Om Hosh

Aleppo Province:

The number of fighters of the rebel and Islamist factions who were killed during the violent attack launched by IS militants yesterday night on the village of Om Hosh in the northern countryside of Aleppo has risen to 37, while 20 others are still missing, where IS started the attack by detonating of a booby-trapped car targeting a position of the rebels in Om Hosh, the clashes accompanied by mutual shelling and airstrikes carried out by warplanes believed to be the US led coalition’s once and targeted IS positions in the area. The clashes resulted in the death of 10 IS militants and ended by seizing the village by IS. IS has tried through its attack and advance in the northern countryside of Aleppo to reach to the Infantry Academy in order to cut the road that link the city of Aleppo with its countryside.

 

The vicinity of Kwayres airbase has witnessed a violent attack by IS, accompanied by detonating 2 booby-trapped vehicles, followed by violent clashes with the regime forces inside the airbase, where IS militants have tried to storm and seize the airbase, no information about casualties so far.
