Al- Islam Army appoints Abo Hammam al- Bwaydani as its leader, while at least 30 fighters and leaders in the most important factions killed in the last 48 hours

Reliable sources informed SOHR that Abo Hammam al- Bwaydani has been appointed as new leader for al- Islam Army, he was born in a family with an Islamic approach from the city of Douma in the Eastern Ghouta working in trade and has stores in al- Bwaydani market in al- Jalaa Street, where he left these stores and joined the military work. He has been appointed after killing Zahran Alloush the ex-leader of al- Islam Army with 13 other fighters, including 5 leaders in al- Islam Army in the air raid targeted their meeting in Otaya area in the Eastern Ghouta. This meeting included leaders and members from al- Islam Army, al- Rahman Legion and other Islamist factions that work in the Eastern Ghouta in order to coordinate and unite the efforts to fight Hezbollah and the regime forces. This strike is considered the second one that targeted leading figures in the most important factions in the Eastern Ghouta in the last 48 hours, where SOHR had been informed that at least 16 members in al- Rahman Legion killed while others wounded, including the legion’s leader Abdulnaser Shmeir, in the airstrikes that targeted their meeting in the Eastern Ghouta.
