3 months of escalated shelling over Aleppo city causes about 7000 casualties and injuries including hundreds of children and women

 

The daily killing of the Syrian citizens of Aleppo and its residents continues, and so does the escalated shelling, with the regime forces supported by the Lebanese Hezbollah and the militiamen loyal to them from Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities controlling the Castello road  about 5 days ago, which is the only way from the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo (controlled by the factions) to the northern countryside of Aleppo, while Aleppo city is still witnessing continued killing of civilians for the 90th consecutive days of targeting the neighborhoods of Aleppo city, since the 22nd of April 2016, which caused a great destruction in the property of citizens, public facilities and hospitals, injuring at least 6000 people, while it rose to 955 civilian citizens -including 219 persons under the age of eighteen years, and 144 citizen women over the age of eighteen years- the number of people who were killed and the Syrian Observatory for human rights managed to document since the 22nd of April 2016 until the dawn of today the 22nd of July 2016, they were killed in shelling by the regime forces and airstrikes targeting areas in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city which are controlled by the factions, and also killed in shelling by the rebel and Islamic factions on regime forces’ controlled areas in the western neighborhoods of Aleppo city, and also by the bullets of the snipers and the shelling on areas in Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in Aleppo which is controlled by YPG. 

 

Among the total number of casualties which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was able to document, there are 487 casualties, including 101 children and 49 citizen woman, killed by hundreds of airstrikes carried out by warplanes on areas in the neighborhoods of Kallaseh, al-Maghayer, al-Ferdus, Al-Sakhur, al-Mowasalat, al-Marjeh, Bab al-Nairab, Tariq al-Bab, Ashrafieh, Bani Zaid, Ameriyah, Salah al-Dien, al-Zebdiyyeh, B’eidin, Bostan al-Qasr, al-Castelo road, al-Sakan al-Shababi, Ansari, al-Sekkary, al-Salhin, al-Mashhad and al-Haidariya and other parts of the city of Aleppo, also the bombing caused destruction of material and damaged tens of homes and property of citizens and buildings in the neighborhoods of which have been targeted, in addition to the injury of hundreds of citizens, including children, and citizen women.  

 

While SOHR documented the death of 76 citizens, including 25 children and 6 women one of them is an old woman, they were killed in shelling by the regime forces on areas in the neighborhoods of Ameriyah, Aqyoul, al-Jazmati, Al-Sakhur, Bostan al-Qasr, al-Sekkary and al-Ferdus outside of regime forces’ controlled areas, besides the death of one of them by sniper fire in the neighborhood of al-Zebdiyyeh, and the injury of tens of others.  

 

Also the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 356 civilian citizens, including 84 children under the age of eighteen, and 83 citizen woman above the age of eighteen, they were killed in the fall of tens of shells and local-made rockets and explosive gas cylinders on places controlled by the regime forces in the neighborhoods of New Seryan, Old Seryan, Aziziyah, Teshreen Street, Andalus Street, al-Mohafaza, Menyan, Mogambo, Halab al-Jadidah, Ashrafieh, Seif al-Dawla, Khalidiya, Maysaloon bridge, Sulaymaniyah, al-Qasr al-Baladi, Shahba, al-Masharqa, Hamdania, al-Telefon al-Hawa’ei, Jamiliyyeh, al-Midan, Al-Meridian, al-Martini, al-Iza’aa, Ramouseh, Saadallah al-Jabri Square, Jam’eyyat al-Zahra’a and several other areas controlled by the regime forces in Aleppo, in addition to injuring hundreds of people, including citizen women and children, and it also caused physical damage to the property of citizens.  

 

While 23 citizens were killed, including 6 children and 3 citizen women in shelling by the rebel and Islamic factions on areas in the neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsood which has a Kurdish-majority and controlled by YPG in Aleppo.  

 

And 6 citizens were killed in shelling and shooting in al-Castelo road and in al-Halk neighborhood in Aleppo and its outskirts, and crossed sources confirmed that the snipers of The Syrian Democratic Forces have opened fire on them and killed them.  

 

And a lady and her child and the uncle of the child, as well as two citizen women and two children of one family were killed in an explosion of a mortars shells plant in a building at the neighborhood of al-Sekkary in Aleppo city.  

 

 

We in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, consider the temporary truces for hours, are not to stop the blood shedding of the civilians, nor to stop committing massacres against them, but rather than a break for the killers and the perpetrators of the massacres against the people of Aleppo city and the Syrian people, before resuming committing their crimes, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights renews his call for the referral of the file of war crimes and the crimes against humanity to the international Criminal Court, so the killers do not escape the punishment in a frame of any international political solution.
