Tension continues after clashes between factions of the Syria Democratic Forces

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by several reliable sources that the clashes between al-Tahrir Brigade of The Syria Democratic Forces against fighters of YPG which is the backbone of Syria Democratic Forces, the clashes took place in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, YPG and accused the brigade commander of fleeing towards Quneitra village in the countryside of Tal Abyad with his family and opening fire on the patrol that came to where he was at that time, where the brigade commander demanded to return to Al-Hasaka province, YPG also accused the brigade’s members of leaving their position points and not informing the nearby points of their withdrawing, where members of the leadership of the Syria Democratic Forces confiscated about 20 weapons after that.

 

While al-Tahrir Brigade accused YPG of controlling The Syria Democratic Forces and putting restrictions on the Brigade and the factions that have a small number of fighters and that fall under the Syria Democratic Forces, and that these groups are being marginalized, and that supplies were cut off earlier of the factions, and leadership of al-Tahrir Brigade demanded the restructuring of Syria Democratic Forces with a pledge and commitment by the United States, and that the Syria Democratic Forces’ continuation of exercising such acts will force them to withdraw from the formations of these forces.
