For the first time, the factions use Russian missile system which arrived with US missiles to Syria in the recent days

Daraa Province, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights got reliable information from several sources, indicate the factions’ use  of Cobra missiles in targeting warplanes that carried out 13 airstrikes today on Dael town at the northern countryside of Daraa, which is controlled by al-Karama Brigade of the first Corps, The sources confirmed that the factions have used one rocket shells at least of Cobra type, but they did not achieve any goal, because the warplanes dropped thermal balloons after carrying the raids out.

 

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights have received an information during the past days, confirming the arrival of hundreds of ant-aircraft Cobra missiles to the factions in Syria, coming from Eastern Europe markets with an Arabic funding, while thousands of Grad missiles entered to Factions groups operating in several areas of Syria, in conjunction with the entry of a batch of US TOW missiles to other groups in Syria.

 

It is worth mentioning that the Cobra missile is an air defense missile system surface-to-air short rang, work on missile thermal guidance, and is used by infantry, also it is launched from the shoulder by one fighter, and is usually used for objectives of low altitude, where the range of the missile is 3700 meter with a height of up to 1500 meter at speed of 430 meters per second, the warhead of the missile weighs 1.15 kg, while the rocket launcher can launch a single missile and cannot be reloaded on the battlefield except by the manufacturer, and each time it is reloaded a sign is placed on the ejector, because the maximum number of to reloading is 5 times, and then it becomes unusable.
