In Tartous prison hundreds of prisoners carry out a mutiny, criminal prisoners help prison authorities to suppress them

Tartous Province, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
A situation of tension prevails the central prison of Tartous, because hundreds of prisoners started a mutiny inside the prison, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received information by several reliable sources confirming carrying out a mutiny by about 400 inmates, and about 70 of them are detained  on charges regarding the Syrian revolution and the demonstrations, this mutiny was carried out in protest against the bad treatment by the authorities and due to the poor services and not referring any of the inmates to the court or releasing them, and the prisoners continue the mutiny until the authorities of the regime fulfill their requirements, while reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian observatory that prisoners loyal to the regime in the criminal section of the prison are helping the police and the prison’s authorities, trying to suppress the mutiny that was carried out at the beginning in the political section of the prison and then it was extended to include the criminal section also.*
