Syrian citizens who fled their homes running form al-Assad barrel bombs and Russian airstrikes, trying to find a shelter away from the military operations across the Turkish borders, had to face the Turkish border snipers who stopped them and prevented them from their important humanitarian right which is the right to live. The Turkish Ganderma killed dozens of civilians, and beat dozens others leading to permanent deep scars in their bodies, while others were arrested and turned back to the Syrian lands. Yesterday the Turkish Genderma killed 7 civilians including a woman at 3 different places on the Syrian-Turkish borders in the northern Syria, as some Civilians said to SOHR ” If the Turkish Genderma is killed 3 Syrians at 3 different areas, that means the killing is their first choice to stop citizens from entering the Turkish lands”

SOHR documented the death of 163 civilians including 31 children and 15 women, killed during attempts to cross into the Turkish lands since the beginning of 2016 until today, by the Turkish Genderma border guards which targeted civilian children and women who are trying to find shelters escaping from the fate of 15,000 children who have been killed since the beginning of the Syrian revolution and the fate of thousands of have been wounded and seriously wounded during the military operations.

On the 12th of January 2016, The Turkish border guards killed the first civilian during an attempt to cross the borders from Hasakah, the borders also witnessed gun shots and opening fire by the Turkish border guards targeting civilians in Hasakah, Raqqa, Aleppo, Idlib, and Lattakia, and many of Syrian citizens have been beaten during these attempts.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights condemns the continued killing by the Turkish border guards who are targeting the Syrian citizens who are trying to find safe shelter away from the war and military operations, as it calls for the international community and UNHCR to push the Turkish government to control their border guards and stop them from killing the Syrian citizens, and we call the Turkish government to open safe roads for the migrants so that they will not be used by the illegal transporters and human blood  dealers who takes large amount of money, as we call for the Turkish government to provide the names of the Border guards who committed these crimes.
