The “Islamic State” organization controls a mountain overlooks Deir Ezzor city and gets closer to cutting its airbase’s supply

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Violent clashes continued during the second day of the most violent attack in nearly a year, which was carried out by the “Islamic State” organization dawn of Saturday the 14th of January 2017, where the violent clashes are taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization in Deir Ezzor city and the area around Deir Ezzor airbase and the Mountain which overlooks the city, where the organization managed to advance again and control the mountain which overlooks Deir Ezzor city, which will enable the organization in case they advance more to cut the road between Deir Ezzor airbase and the Brigade 137 and al-Jura neighborhood, the clashes were accompanied by tens of airstrikes carried out by warplanes on Deir Ezzor city and its surroundings and on the clash areas, amid violent exchange of missile and artillery between both parties. The airstrikes have killed five civilians, including 2 citizen women and 2 children (boys), in addition to the injury of several others, and information about more casualties and injuries in the ranks of the regime and the organization.
