The first 48 hours of the most violent attack by the “Islamic State” organization in Deir Ezzor in a year kill 82 in the city and countryside

 

The most violent attack by the “Islamic State” organization in the city Deir Ezzor and its vicinity is still taking place for the third consecutive day, where the organization is trying through this attack on sites of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in Deir Ezzor city, Deir Ezzor airbase, Brigade 137 and the mountain which overlooks the city to achieve a new advancement and reduce regime forces’ controlled areas in Deir Ezzor province, the violent clashes are accompanied by heavy shelling and continuous intense airstrikes, which caused casualties in the ranks of both parties, as well as human losses among the civilian population in regime forces’ controlled areas and the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas.

Where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the rise of numbers of casualties to 82 people at least, 14 of them are civilian citizens, they are 2 young men and a citizen woman killed in shelling by the “Islamic State” on regime forces’ controlled areas in Deir Ezzor city, and 6 citizens including a woman and her child and 2 citizen women were killed in raids by warplanes on areas in the town of Muhassan in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and 5 persons including two children and 2 citizen women were killed in airstrikes on Deir Ezzor city, also the Observatory documented the rises of death toll of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them to 28 at least, while it rose to 40, the number of members of the “Islamic state”, some of them are of non- Syrian nationalities, while tens of members of both parties of were wounded, and also several civilians were wounded in Deir Ezzor city and in the town of Muhassan in the eastern countryside.
