The “Islamic State” organization continues forcing the regime forces to retreat and achieves advancements in Deir Ezzor city despite the Syrian and Russian raids and intensive bombing

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Islamic State” organization has “crucified” a body of a regime forces’ member in al-Takaya Street at al-Hamidiyyeh neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city, while it rose to 43, including 9 children and 11 citizen women, the number of people who were killed in the city of Deir Ezzor, they are 14 citizens including 5 children and 3 citizen women were killed in bombing by warplanes on al-Ommal neighborhood and other areas in the city, and 5 including two children and 2 citizen women were killed in airstrikes on the city of Deir Ezzor, and 6 citizens including a woman and her child and 2 other citizen women were killed by the airstrikes of warplanes on areas in Muhassan town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in addition to 18 citizens including 2 citizen women and a child were killed in shelling by the “Islamic State” on regime forces’ controlled areas in the city of Deir Ezzor, also tens of others were wounded in the airstrikes, in addition to the physical damage to the property of citizens.

While warplanes carried out intensive raids targeting areas in neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city and its surroundings, in a continuation of the intensive targeting by the regime forces, Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes in the city, its outskirts, vicinity and countryside, also violent clashes continue between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the neighborhoods of al-Rasafa, al-Ommal, al-Mowazzafin, al-Jabilah and Rashdiyyah and in the area around Deir Ezzor airbase and around the Panorama, and the organization was able to achieve a new advancement in the neighborhoods of al-Mowazzafin, al-Ommal and Rasafa, in addition to a new advancement west of the airbase, amid shelling by the organization for sites of the regime forces in Deir Ezzor airbase, and confirmed information about more casualties in the ranks of both parties.

And the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in the eastern countryside Deir Ezzor have monitored the “Islamic State” organization hang six heads in al-Mayadin city, where the activists of the observatory learned that the six heads are for members of the regime forces who were killed in clash against the “Islamic State” organization in Deir Ezzor city and its surroundings, and the activists of the Observatory monitored hanging each three heads in an area of ​​the city, amid the watch of tens of children and citizens, also the organization did not hang any dead bodies with them, where it is not known whether the organization captured and then executed them, or if they were beheaded after they were killed in shelling and clashes against the organization in Deir Ezzor city and in the area around its airbase and other areas, while the fear prevails in al-Mayadin city that the regime warplanes or the Russian warplanes may target the city ​​in the coming hours or days as a “reaction and retaliation” to hanging the heads of their soldiers by the organization in al-Mayadin.

The attack by the organization for the fifth consecutive day since the 14th of January  2017, is considered the most violent attack in Deir Ezzor since the “Islamic State” organization’s attack in January last year 2016 on the city, during of which the organization controlled large parts of al-Bogeleyyah area at the northwest of Deir Ezzor city, and killed and executed nearly 150 members from the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and of families of NDF and national army members and members of the Baath Party from the city, in addition to kidnapping more than 400 people from the neighborhood and from northwest of Deir Ezzor, they were civilians and families of the gunmen loyal to the regime.
