On the 2nd day of offensive in eastern countryside of Aleppo… the regime forces continue their quest to achieve advancement at the expense of the “Islamic State” organization under a cover of the continuous shelling

Clashes continue in the eastern countryside of Aleppo between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization, where the fighting is concentrated in areas near Brelhin area north of Aleppo – Deir Hafer road, and the clashes accompanied by intensive shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas and on the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, also these clashes came days after shelling by the regime forces and airstrikes by regime’s warplanes and helicopter, and by warplanes believed to be Russian on towns and villages controlled by the organization in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, which left tens dead and wounded.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday Tuesday, that clashes broke out in the eastern countryside of Aleppo after being stopped in the area, where the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them led by regime forces’ officer Sohail al-Hassan, known also “al-Nemr” (the Tiger) were able to advance in the eastern countryside of Aleppo and regain control of the strategic Power Plant, which used to be a stronghold for the “Islamic State” organization in mid-February 2016.
