About 260 civilians and member were killed and tens of others wounded in the first 8 days of the most violent attack on Deir Ezzor

The Panorama area in the southern front of Deir Ezzor city is witnessing continuous violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization, in an attempt by each party to achieve advancement at the expense of the other, also clashes are taking place in the cemeteries area and other areas in the neighborhoods of al-Mowazzafin and al-Ommal in the city, accompanied by continued clashes for the 8th day in a row in the city and its surroundings, after the most violent attack by the organization in about a year ago, accompanied by bombing by regime’s warplane and Russian warplanes, in conjunction with the shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas.

the continued violent clashes between both parties, the renewed violent and intense bombardment and airstrikes, detonating booby trapped vehicles and exchange of targeting have raised the number of casualties in the city of Deir Ezzor, as a result of the most violent attack by the organization since about a year ago, which was started in the 14th of January 2017, where it considered the most violent attack by the organization since January 2016, during of which the organization controlled large parts of al-Bogeleyyah area at ​​the northwest of Deir Ezzor city, and killed and executed nearly 150 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and of families of NDF and national army members and members of the Baath Party from the city, in addition to kidnapping more than 400 people from the neighborhood and from northwest of Deir Ezzor, they were civilians and families of the gunmen loyal to the regime.

Where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the rise of death toll to 254 at least, where it rose to 54 including 14 children and 11 citizen woman, the number of persons who were killed in the city of Deir Ezzor since the organizing started its attack on the 14th of January 2017, they are 17 citizens including 6 children and 4 citizen women were killed in bombing by warplane on al-Ommal neighborhood and on other areas in the city, and 5 including 2 children and 2 citizen women were killed in airstrikes on Deir Ezzor city, and 7 citizens including a woman and her child and 2 citizen women were killed in airstrikes by warplanes on areas in Muhassan town and al-Boleel town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in addition to 25 citizens including 2 citizen women and 5 children were killed in shelling by the “Islamic State” organization on regime forces’ controlled areas in the city of Deir Ezzor, also tens of others were wounded in the raids, in addition to the physical damage in the property of citizens, also it rose to 72 including several officers (and one of them a brigadier) the number of killed members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, while it rose to 128, the number of killed members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, also tens of others were wounded in the ranks of both parties.
